eTown features performances from many of today's top musical artists as well as conversation and information about the world around us. The show started in Boulder in 1991 with a mission to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience, through music and conversation, to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world. eTown is taped in front of a live audience, usually at the Boulder Theater. The shows feature two guest artists who perform their own sets and then collaborate with the etones for the show finale, and the e-cheivement award that recognizes people who are working hard to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond. Blues From the Red Rooster Lounge, Colorado's longest-running blues radio show, has attracted a cult following on Sunday nights on KBCO since April 1985. Your host the Red Rooster is a world-renowned authority on the blues and every week he cranks out a lively hour's worth of "Rooster Music," an infectious blend of blues and R&B, with a touch of gospel and lost soul tossed in. For 12 years the Rooster was the founder and publisher of Blues Access Magazine. He has twice been honored with W.C. Handy Keeping the Blues Alive awards from the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN. |
