Today for My Three Songs at 3:00, I will give you a chance to pick up tickets for the soldout Avett Brothers' concerts at Red Rocks (July 5 & 6). Do you think you can figure out the connection between the songs? Ah, to be determined!
One of my favorite KBCO Studio C sessions over the last couple of years was the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Susan and Derek brought a band of twelve, and the soulful voices and horns made me think of them as a modern day version of Joe Cocker's "Mad Dogs and the Englishmen" or Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. Tedeschi Trucks Band will play Red Rocks on June 15, along with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. I'll give away tickets at 3:00 on My Three Songs. Here's the KBCO Studio C session from August 8, 2011.
