Happy New Year! Seems like only yesterday we were stocking up on canned tuna and bottled water as we prepared for 2000. I'd ask where the last dozen years went but I already know: to my hips, my thighs, my stomach. As long as I'm reminiscing, it was exactly thirty years ago this month that I started working at KBCO! Dennis Constantine hired me to work the overnight shift so yeah, I guess you could say I was a lady of the night. It was pretty lonely being in the studio around 3am but luckily there were other 3rd shifters to commiserate with and make frequents requests for the likes of "Ain't Nobody Here but us Chickens" by Asleep at the Wheel. Ah, good times.
That was then, this is now. I still love my job and you are a big part of why I enjoy coming in to work every day. So please, keep the phone calls and emails coming my way. It can get lonely at 2pm too.
