Ginger's Story
Ginger's Story: Ginger grew up in the farming hills of Nebraska to the continuous beat of The Beatles, Herman's Hermits, and Dave Clark Five. Ah yes, a sucker for the two minute pop song even then.

Starting her radio career at KAUR doing newscasts, Ginger hopped on the rock and roll bandwagon and began doing morning drive at KLYX in Sioux Falls. After a short stint at an oldies stations, Ginger packed up her bags and came westward all the way to Boulder in 1982 where she's been ever since!

Ginger is an active member of the Boulder community and has been a member of the KBCO staff for more than 18 years. Ginger loves what she does and it shows. It's her upbeat attitude and honest approach to radio is what makes her show so popular.

Ginger has treated listeners to interesting interviews and live performances from World Class musicians as they visit the station. She entertains at-work listeners with features such as The Select-a-Set Lunch and the 10@10 music time-capsule.

Greatest Career Moment: Live interview with Paul McCartney in 1993 before the Folsom Field concert. Ginger was always a "Paul" girl, and so her ultimate dream came true.

Worst Career Moment: Fighting off a live bat which had flown in to the studio during an overnight show in Sioux Falls. To make matters worse, it all happened during Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
