Denver Arts Week starts with TONIGHT with First Fridays celebrations at all of the Arts Districts across town—Santa Fe, Navajo Street, Tennyson Street, the Golden Triangle, Old South Gaylord, Old South Pearl and River North (RiNo). Denver's museums are open late and admission is FREE between 5 and 10 p.m. At the Denver Art Museum—art comes alive when actors representing Van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec stroll the museum, mixing and mingling with the crowd. At the Byers-Evans House--get a glimpse of life in Denver in 1912 in this beautiful historic home and see An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe at 7:30 pm. At the Children’s Museum--the littlest artists in the community will create sculptures out of recycled materials. The Clyfford Still Museum offers documentary screenings of STILL, gallery talks and more to learn about this groundbreaking abstract expressionist. The Molly Brown House rocks out to the local band, I Sank Molly Brown, and celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Titanic. Museo de las Americas celebrates Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Make sugar skulls from 5-7 p.m. FREE shuttles make it easy to explore all evening. Shuttle buses will stop at or near museums, beginning at 5 p.m. from the Denver Art Museum (parking available in the Cultural Complex Garage) and also from shuttle stop between the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and the Denver Zoo.
