THE DENVER RESCUE MISSION UPDATE

While many, many more turkeys have arrived, The Denver Rescue Mission is still nearly 6,000 turkeys short of their goal. Requests from 100 different schools, churches and non-profits total more than 18,000 birds. The Mission will accept turkeys through today to meet these requests.

The turkeys will be served at the Great Thanksgiving Banquet tomorrow, given to families in 1,250 holiday food boxes - The Denver Rescue Mission will provide about 136,000 meals during the holiday season.

HOW TO HELP:

Drop off frozen turkeys weighing 12 pounds or more at the Lawrence Street Shelter (SE corner of Park Avenue West and Lawrence Street)

· Donate money toward a turkey at www.DenverRescueMission.org/donate.
